The text describes a prophecy that foretells of an apocalypse in which the undead will rise to conquer all living things, causing fear amongst those who hear it. To combat this impending doom, three new classes are introduced with unique abilities for grave-robbing and pet ownership; twelve monsters from previous games are also resurrected along with two scrolls containing various content that can intrigue players while introducing more rules specific only to PCs such as Morale Rules in the form of NPCs too who may be able or willing to aid characters. Additionally, an adventure featuring a living dead village is introduced where one character will have exclusive care for its terrifying marrow eater problem-solving through their unique set of skills and abilities that they possess from being grave robbers themselves with pet cemetery companions available as backup while having three new weapons - including two swords for dual wielders which can be purchased or obtained by completing quests, the final weapon is a magical one handed sword.
