The player takes on the role of Brás in Daytrippeir (the graphic novel about an obituaries writer
who dies at each chapter), following him through his life, and then dying himself after every major
event or watershed moment he encounters along that journey. They receive prompts to write stories
detailing those pivotal moments throughout their game experience on different stub paths of "what
if..." The player receives a set number of questions about important events in the story at hand as
they progress through each chapter, and must provide answers with pen-to-paper gameplay mechanics
for them that can be tailored into individual endings. It is an interactive book written by Brás
himself where his experiences are chronicled throughout several storylines based on different stub
paths or "what if..." possibilities branching off from the main story arc of Daytrippeir, leading to
a final chapter reflecting upon everything learned and how they will change their life's path going
forward. The game is designed as an interactive storytelling exercise in which each decision made by
Brás has its own distinct consequences that add depth and meaning behind his actions throughout
chapters 1-4; from there, he writes the story of Daytrippeir with a personal touch to share it
through different stub paths or "what if
