The story of a player-controlled vessel tasked to defend their home against an alien invasion that threatens it and its inhabitants' very existence. With limited resources but powerful weapons at hand, the protagonist must scavenge for supplies from other planets while engaging in battles with aliens who seek control over black holes scattered throughout space. As they progress through missions ranging from defending star scars left by invaders to diving deep into discarded dyson spheres before a catastrophic event destroys their civilization's stars and reignites its own furnaces of destruction, the player must make difficult decisions about resource management while dealing with moral dilemmas that arise in situations where saving one planet may come at an enormous cost.
