Fieldwork involves a tabletop role-playing game set in dense jungle forests, arid deserts, frozen tundras and other hazardous locations where players hunt creatures both real or imaginary for their knowledge on various species of animals through scientific expeditions that are essential towards expanding the community's understanding. Players choose professions to specialize into different areas such as zoology research with unique skillsets like hunting dangerous beasts in harsh environments while staying alive, which leads them down a path filled with adventure and risk-taking challenges where players work together by solving puzzles using their combat abilities coupled up with scientific knowledge acquired through exploration of various locations. The game features completely original gameplay mechanics designed for both brutal survival games as well as teamwork simulations that require problem solver skills to make the most out of all aspects, while still requiring careful planning and strategy throughout each expedition they embark on in order to progress further down their journey into scientific discovery with a focus towards becoming the top- tier research group.
