The player can create their own characters with different abilities and backgrounds as they progress through the story line of adventures to defeat powerful enemies known for destroying entire civilizations in ancient times on this world, which is being threatened by new invaders from a distant planet called Zorgon who are bringing advanced technology that could wipe out humanity itself if not stopped. The game also includes random tables generated at launch time and an online-only ashcan featuring artworks by the artist Mörbäck to ensure its continued accessibility once digital versions become available, with physical copies of a 32-page edition coming in August 2022 after being delayed due to graphics tablet issues causing delays until June.
