HOST is an exciting solo experience for fans of tabletop RPGs and post-apocalyptic settings, where
a mysterious traveler's journal entries are played out across three randomly chosen events that
allow players' characters meaningful interactions with the world falling apart around them.Hosst
(pronounced "host") is a soliloquy game set in an apocalyptic future brought about by climate change
caused by human activities such as deforestation, pollution and carbon emissions. Players take on
roles of journal keepers who record their experiences across three randomly chosen events that
represent different stages of the apocalypse: The Event I represents ecological disaster at its
peak; the second event is a post-apocalyptic city landscape in ruins where people scavenge for food
amid destruction wrought by nuclear war or an asteroid impact. Finally, the third and final part
takes place after humanity has become extinct due to global warming caused by massive deforestation
during this same apocalypse: The Event II represents what's left of urban landscapes with abandoned
infrastructure such as skyscrapers now covered in weeds that grow rapidly from melted ice caps
beneath them; only a few surviving pockets remain scattered about the world.The game can be played
solo or group, and it requires minimal setup to record your journal entries onto cards using an
envelope system which works by peeling off
