The game is played through emotional and narrative driven resource management, and building the world around you as you go through it. You play as undead, exploring the crumbling lands around you and attempting to reach the flame so you can decide whether to keep the world going as it is or start it anew. The world has been pushed to its breaking point and the flame keeping it alive is but sputtering cinders now.
