KANABO is a rules-light pen-and paper fantasy roleplaying game set in the time period of Tokugawa
era Japan (1600–1868) based on iconic swordfighting genre movies from that time, with cultural
consulting by James Mendez Hodes (@LuLaVampiRio). It's an expert rule supplement and includes
additional stats for Save & Stress System; Level/Treasure-based Experience Points system along with
rules governing Expanded Travel, Camping, Foraging, Hunting, Exploration in a Roleplaying Game.
Additionally it has new ally enemies listed by major biomes of feudal Japan such as 31 types of
treasure hoards to discover 10 variety of coins and trade goods. It also includes maps that lead to
additional treasures based on the game's Magic System with spells cast from spell book; 108 New
Spells, Treasure Tables for finding more gold/silver or artifacts along with magical weapons &
armor. Lastly it is a supplement featuring Monsters-and-Treasure sections where you can encounter
enemies ranging natural creatures such as feudal knights and warrior monks to pirate treasure hoard
of silver coins which includes 19 new magic artifacts in addition to 2 variety of coin types, 55
trade goods made from rare materials like gold/silver and precious stones.
