The player is a downtrodden citizen looking for new opportunities in life, with the discovery and purchase of rights to an extraterrestrial planet. With his fellow crew-mates they owe Galacticoorp 200k credits on this newly discovered world; their home base Outpost 5 has been designated as such by Galacticoorp. The goal is clear: rework outposts #5 into a successful venture, defending the outpost against threats and exploring for new opportunities to increase profits (or risk imprisonment). However in an unexpected twist of events upon arrival at the planet's surface they realize that humans were not alone on this place - evidence suggests previous civilizations had already visited. With his fellow players he will navigate through different alien cultures while finding a way back home
