They roll dice randomly on obstacles they encounter throughout levels, achieving success by rolling high enough numbers that move them to continue story elements through "Yes And..." prompts if successful; failing rolls result in setbacks leading to more complex stories utilizing different types such as No But... and Yes Maybe..
