The adventure takes place in a colony of mice living on an island where they have been left without grain and cheese during wintertime due to problems with their storehouse. They are now facing challenges such as ghosts, mushroom-growing rat bandits who want some for themselves while the mayor is out getting his art collection back after being robbed by them himself earlier that day (he has a secret he doesn't disclose). The mice must investigate and restore order but also retrieve something valuable from him in exchange.
