Catch The Devil is a tabletop role-playing game set on Earth, where players create normal people
and explore how they react to being caught up in events that can't be real due to the presence of an
evil force called "The Rot." As a GM (Game Master), you take your fears or anxieties as inspiration
for creating unique characters who may undergo unexpected changes when under stress. The game is
designed by Sage LaTorr, co-creator Dungeon World and reflects his anxiety about today's world
through its theme: investigating the rot around people in various ways can be detrimental to their
mental health leading them towards isolation and physical decline. PROBLEM SOLVED? Catch The
Devil aims at solving players' existential crisis related to living with an overwhelming feeling of
being trapped, while others seem content or oblivious about how the world is rapidly deteriorating
around us in a way that makes life difficult if not impossible for many people. It challenges them
by introducing new rules and mechanics inspired from Dungeon World's core system (such as its
"investigate" move), but tailored to make it more engaging overall with various scenarios,
characters' growths over time or encounters between the player group members experiencing a rot-
induced decline in their lives/psychology
