Chrysalis Cycle Rebirth! is a tabletop role-playing game that focuses specifically and uniquely around the intersection of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with magical girl narratives. The setting explores themes such as neurocognition, self-identification through various means including fictional representations like manga/anime series or characters in popular media, nonverbal communication styles unique to ASD individuals, sensory sensitivities experienced by many on the autistic spectrum and those who are not typically associated with this condition but share common experiences. The game seeks a community of people interested in creating positive change for others through gaming as well as other forms such artistic expression like music or visual art where these themes can be explored within non-autistic individuals, including both neurodivergent/disabled and ableist perspectives which are often underrepresented by mainstream media with the exception of characters on an ASD spectrum.
