The game uses a basic trick-taking mechanism, with the wrinkle that each card has two numbers, one for offense, one for defense, and winning a trick means you lead the next as the offense. Once players are down to one card, the player who scored the most tricks gets 1 point per trick, and gets to put a new action sticker on their final card, keeping it for the next hand. Benders is a hockey card game where you start off with a deck full of baby-faced rookies, who grow in toughness and skill with each game.
