The Empire Never Ended, inspired by the works of Philip K.Dick including VALIS , A Scanner Darkly,
Radio Free Albemuth and Strange Matters, explores themes such as talking with a God-alien
intelligence or going crazy in order to escape imprisonment between Ancient Rome (current time) and
an interstellar future dictatorship 100 years from now that is currently taking place at the same
moment. The game also draws inspiration from Ctulhu/Trophy Dark, Otherkind and GNAP! Theater
Projects' improvised PKD show called Strange Matters while using cover sources like Eric Gazaheno's
Character Keeper to set up playing online comfortably for players who wish to experience these
themes themselves or be inspired by the works of Philip K. Dick as it pertains to real world
experiences with characters in a virtual space that are not bound solely within fictional ones but
instead live on, even if they're only created and exist just briefly before disappearing back into
their own digital voids once again - something for fans both old school or new alike who wish to
create immersive stories of themselves interacting with the real world.
