In UNDER HILL BY WATER (or "UHBW" as it's popularly known), you play a halfling living in cozy under-hill homes surrounded by greenery and wildlife; however your peaceful pastoral life is disrupted when an escaped ornery goat enters the village. To capture this creature, players use parts familiar from old school TTTRPGs such as creating characters using randomizer generators or understanding basic rules for running around rural areas to avoid getting into trouble with nasty business but cozying up at night by their fire and eating well during harvest festival celebrations that are celebrated every fall when crops come in. Chapter 1 covers the basics of being a gentle halfling, chapter 2 focuses on ambling about and interacting with others while maintaining good behavior, 3 explains how to live through various seasons without too much trouble but also allows for random scenarios created by GMs using this template kit (with no strings attached).
