The hunt for survival in an unknown wilderness filled by supernatural creatures can be described as "folk horror" storytelling with elements of Forge, Apocalypse and Belonging games blended together while telling the player's stories about their lives being hunted or cut off from civilization to build a unique legend that feeds back into narrative. Game is played over 2-4 hours designed for zero prep before play starts without any rules in advance but provides all information necessary by including an extensive reference guide, game components and character creation section with detailed step by steps on creating characters using Forge system, Apocalypse & Belonging references combined to create a unique set of mechanics that will help the player tell their own stories about being hunted or cut off from civilization as they progress through The Hunte d.
