The game involves investigators playing in the fictional city, ParaNormal Wellington where they look into supernatural occurrences and investigate them for a curious audience while recording their investigations with footage that can be shared on social media to keep the audience informed about what's happening within the investigation. Players must use different abilities rolled randomly such as Sweet As or Bugger when interacting with various entities in order to progress through this tabletop role-playing game (TRPG). The player directs and is assisted by their partners, while Morgan Davie provides an overview of Wellington's paranormal secrets that can be discovered during research conducted within the city.
