The Torch player character (a Torch) can be built as either the traditional, "light-bearing" protagonist who wields Light but refuses to follow its dictates or plays on this side without such restrictions by using an alternate class that eschews standard weapon tags from Beacon's arsenal while still wielding Light in creative and unique ways. The ThreShold player builds a new set of weapons with their own customized tag system, seeking out legendary weapons they might not find under the light itself but will be sought after for as long as there is Torch-wielding adventurers about.
